Laughing Gas: Friday and Saturday
nights at 11pm in Miami Lakes. Formed in 1992, this troupe has
shown an ability to last the test of time at a quality level equal
to many troupes in Chicago or New York. Directed by Gerald Owens,
the troupe has shown a high level of consistency of talent and
quality of shows. With each show being different and various improvisational
games and sketches being performed weekly, the pressure has actually
generated a large pool of talent that is called upon. Actors regularly
rotate in and out of the show as they perform at many of the local
theaters in stage and film productions. As they return they rejoin
the troupe seamlessly providing new material and ever-changing
chemistry. On Friday and Saturday nights at 11pm, Laughing Gas
appears at The Main Street Playhouse, located at 6766
Main Street in Miami Lakes. They close their regular shows
each December to perform corporate events and to prepare themselves
for the upcoming season. Cast members include actors featured
throughout South Florida theater, graduates of The Second City,
and several members of Mensa. Their themed shows and constantly
changing topical humor really help to make their comedy the kind
repeated at waterer coolers throughout South Florida. More detail
