Improv Miami Prizes 2004 Tickets Are Now Available Online For Advance Purchase

Aventura, Florida, November 26, 2004 - ImprovMiami.com, a guide for South Florida improvisational theatre, announces that tickets are now available online for advanced purchase for the Improv Miami Prizes 2004. The showcase event being held at the Shores Performing Arts Theater (at 9806 N.E. 2nd Avenue in Miami Shores) on Saturday, December 4th, will be an evening of comedy and awards that will not soon be forgotten!

"This is an exciting event and many people are afraid that they won't be able to get in," said event Director Todd Rice. "Now people can buy their tickets early to make sure they can attend the event. It's not often that the best get together on one stage and the Impys are bound to please everyone who attends."

There is a lot of attention being drawn to the event and hopes are high for having the event sell out. This is especially beneficial as all funds raised will support the participating theater companies and the Shores Performing Arts Theater.

Tom O'Donnell, the co-Director for the Impy nominated Mod-27 said, "We travel to improv festivals around the country. It's nice to see improv grow so much in South Florida as well, so that we would need to sell tickets in advance to make sure people would be able to get in."

"This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our talents," said 'Organizer' Jay Murray of the nominated troupe Name Change Pending. "For us to get to perform for a packed house and also get to see some of the best performances South Florida has ever seen, that's a deal."

The Impys are dedicated to the promotion of the improvisational art form and to recognize excellence both on and off stage. The event, to be held on December 4th, will include almost all of the troupes in South Florida for an evening that will raise the standards of improv and have the audiences roaring with laughter as only an improvised award show could.

The event is a Social Miami "Pick of the Week" and is being supported by the efforts of many Chambers of Commerce and companies. Tickets are $20 or $15 for seniors and students and are currently available online and may be available at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime.
