The "Impys" Featured in the Street Miami on 12/2/04

Comedians are, by nature, show-offs. So you can bet your funny bone that the troupes that will compete in what is billed as the first annual Improv Miami Prizes (or the Impys) will do everything they can to outdo each other. Members from Impromedy, Laughing Gas, Mod27, and Name Change Pending will perform four separate shows, followed by awards in such categories as Best Sketch and Best Improvised Film. The laughs start 8pm Saturday at the Shores Performing Arts Theater, 9806 NE Second Ave., Miami Shores. $20 ($15 for seniors or students).
