Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara began
their teamwork in the Compass Players in Chicago, and performed
with several troupes in Chicago, St. Louis and New York, where
they moved into Greenwich Village.
Stiller
and Meara have spent decades entertaining audiences with their
clever writing and obvious chemistry. They've appeared in many,
many shows including sitcoms, variety shows and specials over
the years. It's very interesting to see them in their relatively
early years on Ed Sullivan or the Flip Wilson Show performing
in sketches in front of live audiences.
More recently Jerry Stiller has become
even more famous for his roles on Seinfeld and King
of Queens. Anne Meara has been active as well and recently
appeared in an episode of King of Queens with her real life husband
(Jerry, in case you hadn't figured that out).
Their love affair continues and can be read about in the book,
Married
to Laughter, by Jerry Stiller. If you would like to purchase
this book, you can do so from Amazon by clicking

Another great addition to the comedy world
that they have spawned, is their actual spawn. Ben Stiller, star
of many movies as well as the Ben Stiller Show, is their
son.
